Refund Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change and before a class or workshop starts, people may need to alter their plans. At the same time however, we pride ourselves on paying tutors a fair wage for their work and want to maintain a good reputation with our partners in business by paying venues and caterers in a timely fashion. To that end, we have decided to set out a refund policy so that our customers understand our position on refunds and understand their rights for making a refund claim if they wish to cancel their bookings with us. When someone cancels, it costs us money to process the refund through the use of payment services. Though, we would like to point out that cancellations do not just affect our business, it affects the tutors, venues, caterers and takes up a space for anyone else wishing to attend if the class is at full capacity.

In the event Yorkshire Community Learning is compelled to cancel a class/ event, the customer is eligible to a full refund and the terms set out below are wavered.

35 days or more before start date/ event - 100% refund (minus 10% administration cost)

34 - 24 days before start date/event - 75% refund

25 - 20 days before the start date/event - 50% refund

21 - 14 days before the start date/event - 25% refund

15 days before the start date/event - No refund

Please note, all refunds may take between 5 - 10 business days to reach your account. This time delay is not due to Yorkshire Community Learning, it is simply the time it takes for third party payment processors to send the money to your account.
